Meet the academic
Georgiana Ghetiu

Georgiana Ghetiu is an Academic Fellow in Media Production (Screen Production) in the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology at the University of Salford, Greater Manchester. Georgiana is a cinematographer and director who specialises in live music and music videos. She is the co-owner of a media production company, called Stage Level, which works across the performing arts and commercial industries. Georgiana has been involved in the industry since the age of 16, when she started to combine her experience as a performer and her passion for technology to develop her visual language, which she has been expanding ever since. She aims to share her passion, knowledge and work ethic advice with her students, encouraging them to reach their full potential and find their place in the industry. Georgiana currently teaches across levels 4,5 and 6 on both the BA(Hons) Media and Performance and BA(Hons) Creative Writing courses, and also on the DipHE Social Media Content Creation course. This encompasses L4 Production Skills, L5 Directing and Producing, L5 Integrated Production Skills, L5 Video Project Executive Producer, and L6 Video Project Supervisor.
